Secaucus Middle School Tricky Tray Secaucus Middle School will be hosting a Tricky Tray on Friday, March 10th, 2017. It will be held in the High School/Middle School Dining Hall.
Holiday Candygram If you are interested in sending someone a holiday candy gram, they will be on sale starting December 19th to December 21st during the PAC period. All candy grams are $1 and they will be delivered on Friday, December 23rd during 1st period.
Performance of The Nutcracker On Friday, December 9th, Secaucus Middle School students were treated to a beautiful performance of The Nutcracker Suite by (the very talented students of) The Garden State Ballet Company.
The American Dream Secaucus Middle School Students in Megan Jones and Aneta Kapusnik's classes collaborated to create a collage to express their own version of the American Dream. Throughout this unit, students applied their knowledge of American principles found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They did this by investigating quotes, songs and literature about the American Dream. Students are also conducting interviews to assess how the American Dream has changed over time and writing an analytical essay.
Builders Club Toy Drive Contest The SMS Builders Club will be hosting a Toy Drive Contest for all grades. The class that brings in the most toys per student will win a Donut Party!!!
Students of the Month for November Students each month at SMS are nominated by a teacher or staff member based on their good character. Last month, we honored the month of respect. For November, we are representing the characteristic of responsibility. Every nomination is put into a jar and a winner from each grade is randomly chosen to receive a certificate and displayed on our announcement wall. At the end of the year, all winners and nominations will be given a reward. This month's winners are: 6th grade-Aarti Advani, 7th grade-Athanasia Chandras, and 8th grade-Zarrar Nawaz.
