8th Grade Class Trip | Boundless Adventures 2025

Last week our 8th graders headed to Boundless Adventures — and left a lasting impression. Here's what their chaperone Mrs. Hernandez had to say...

"The chaperones and I truly saw the absolute best in our students. Not only did they quickly learn the challenging skills of harnessing, zip lining, and following strict safety procedures, but they also demonstrated an incredible sense of teamwork and support for one another.

From the moment they began, students were helping each other adjust harnesses, double-checking clips, and calmly reminding one another of safety steps. On the platforms, we saw students who were initially hesitant being encouraged by their peers, classmates calling up from below, “You’ve got this!” and “Take your time, you can do it!” From every tree top, you could hear a chorus of cheers, laughter, and even a few nervous yelps that quickly turned into excitement and pride.

What stood out most was how naturally they worked together. Students who don’t normally interact much in school were partnering up, offering a steadying hand, sharing tips on how to balance, and celebrating each other’s accomplishments as if they were their own. The chaperones joined right in, coaching students through difficult moments, modeling confidence, and celebrating every success, big or small. And, we had our fair share of fun in the trees.

At one point, their instructor paused and said to me, “Wow, this is one of the best groups of kids I’ve had in a long time.” And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. The combination of courage, kindness, and teamwork made today truly special."
