Building Birdhouses for the Meadowlands

Earlier this month, SMS Environmental Club students built wooden birdhouses by hand. The houses are designed for tree swallows nesting in the Meadowlands marsh, where the birds raise their young and consume hundreds of mosquitoes in the process. Painting and installation are coming up next.
