Confetti Nebulas: How New Stars Are Born

Our sixth-grade classes brought science to life with a hands-on demonstration of how stars are born! Students popped confetti-filled balloons to model a supernovaβ€”an exploding star. The confetti represented gases like hydrogen and helium spreading into space to form a nebula, a cloud of dust and gas. Over time, these gases gather and heat up until they begin to glow, forming a brand-new star. 🌟 Isaac Rojas-Cali is featured in the demonstration photos.
