SMS Social Studies Department Celebrates Black History Month

This year we celebrated Black excellence during Black History Month. To do this, students were tasked with researching someone in the Black community they may not have encountered in their textbooks. Then they needed to write a brief biography with accompanying artwork to represent their research. Here are a few of the fantastic projects that adorn the halls of our middle school.
