Congratulations to our SMS and SHS students participating in the 2020 Law Day Contest

Students at Secaucus Middle and High School participated in the American Bar Association’s annual Law Day contest, sponsored by the Hudson County Bar Association and Foundation  - this year’s theme was “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100”. We are proud to announce the following winners: 


In the category of Essay: 7th grader Sara Papa, 9th grader Ayush Agarwal, 10th grader Brianna Hawxhurst, and 11th grader Daniel Youn.  In Poetry, 6th grader Sofia Guzman, 7th graders Anmol Gopalak and Aidan Stamm, and  8th grader Deborah Biru and in the Rap Category 6th graders Gianna Busanic and Addison Rubin, and 8th graders Angelina Bedwany and Giovanni Rivera.  Additionally, 8th grader Maya Geller received an Honorable Mention for her art submission.   


Although the planned celebration was canceled due to COVID-19, a virtual Law Day Celebration will take place over Zoom on June 19 at 12:00 noon.  We are so proud of all our entries and congratulations to our winners!
